Alstrom Point Sunset Pano

Alstrom Point sits above Gunsite Bay on Lake Powell. On the fourth evening there this year, high clouds turned a nice pink at sunset and gave their glow to the sandstone buttes below. Lake Powell was the highest it has been in ten years, so I wanted to get this image before drought and water releases took their toll on the lake level again.

Cathedral Pool Cathedral Rock rises above Oak Creek near Sedona. I had made several trips before getting the right sunset conditions as fall was beginning in this stretch of the creek.

Cathedral Reflections After a late winter snow, Cathedral Rock is reflected in a pool of water on the red rocks.

Marble Bend Bow. A rainbow from a morning rain spans across Marble Canyon at Tatahatso Point.

Curtains of Light. Evening light glances off the walls within the Grand Canyon.

Yaki Evening. The last of evening light leaves the depths of the Grand Canyon as rain showers grace the north rim.

Imperial View. The red light of morning turns Mount Hayden into a crimson spire.
